any flickr experts?

I use the flickr DNA & Explore Scout by Big Huge Labs so I can update my own "interesting" album on flickr, i have only had a few photos in explore - I then go onto the big huge labs today and this appears:

49 photos are in Explore - every other day I have checked apart from today only 1 current photo has been explored way back in november . .

When you click on details for DNA analysis all my stats come up but only 1 photos appears in explore (which is actually right):

Not that fussed about all the photos not in Explore just wondering what has happened?

They do it every year at Christmas as well. I've got 2,659 in explore at the moment. For one day only.
