Any ideas what this Coal Tit is suffering from?

If it's not a tick then it's probably avian pox - horrible.

Looks like avian pox to me, poor thing

Could be a tick or Avian Pox Tom. If it's Avian Pox it isn't always fatal and if the bird recovers it's usually immune to further infection.

Thank you all for your suggestions - its eating well, lively with its peers and not showing any signs of distress so - keeping everything crossed - hopefully there may be some future for it.
