Got a 105 F/2 DC and love it. But I'm struggling to get the best out of it, and it's not the lenses fault!
I'm after pin sharp focus with the out of focus bits...............well nice and soft (I think).
I've left the defocus image control alone, and left it in the middle. At F/2, the DOF is so little that you have almost no margin for error.So, I tend not to shoot wide open. F/2.8 or F/4.
But, if I use the defocus control, then even the bit in focus is well ............softish. Hence why I leave it in the middle.
Or, maybe I'm missing the point of this lens.
Any guidance would be appreciated.....................
