Any Olympus owners hiding here?

Joined today, EPL-5 owner, very happily using the double-zoom kit lenses and a Panasonic f/2.5 14mm pancake for everyday use. The pancake is so skinny, it is genuinely pocketable - something I like about a compact system like MFT and something that was preventing me using the DSL-R.

I know you'll love it :)

I'm new here also!

I have an Olumpus 850 SW Compact; and recently Bought An Olympus OM-D E-M10 I love it; although It's going to take me some time to learn how to use it..

Though it is the same post as the one I made in the EPL-5 thread, the Olympus Pen Mini is going for dirt cheap at Carmarthen Cameras at the moment - for existing M43/MFT owners, it's a cheap second-body option for throwing around:

"EPM-1 body-only going cheap at Carmarthen cameras for £99.99 delivered; I've picked up one in black as a second "no excuses" kit, as my EPL-3 trade was withdrawn by a seller elsewhere:

http://www.carmarthencameras.co.uk/...1-compact-system-camera-double-zoom-kit-black

http://www.carmarthencameras.co.uk/...-compact-system-camera-double-zoom-kit-silver

No-brainer for me. Same innards as the EPL-3 and EP-3, but in a nice compact package :)"

I have just sold my Fuji Xpro-1 and I am looking to get the EM5 with 12-50mm from HDEW, I will also need to get a 75-300mm zoom. Any idea who's the cheapest for this lens?

I guess I ought to post on this thread that I have recently sold my Canon gear and am now the owner of an Olympus OMD EM1 with a few lenses.
I used to lug a 5D2, grip, 17-40, 24-70, 70-200 f2.8 plus 580 flash about in my backpack - it was so heavy that I often left it at home.

My new gear weighs way less, covers an equivalent range of 24mm to 600mm (albeit with not the same max aperture or bokeh) but is so much easier to pick up and take out that I am taking more pictures than I used to, and am getting back into photography, so for me this has to be a big positive !

I picked up an Olympus stylus 1 at the weekend. Pleased with my purchase but not really had chance to put it through its paces yet... owned a Sony A100 with a fair few lenses until a couple of years ago, then found myself actively looking for reasons not to lug all the kit around and photography became a chore. The Oly will hopefully be a step in the right direction and get me back into just taking pictures and, more importantly, enjoying it!

At the TP Megga meet I've been waving the flag for Olympus :) All shots straight out of camera into Aperture with just a touch of definition added and that is it...All taken on my Olympus PEN E-P5 using:

Panasonic Lumix 35-100 f2.8

Olympus 75-300 MKII

Thanks! I must admit, that 75-300 MKII from Olympus is an absolute gem....so quick to focus, such great subject separation. Yet people keep on saying its Aperture is too slow....I don't get it...

Hi all, thought I'd post a few shots from the weekend with the stylus 1. Really impressed with this little camera!

** ARISE THREAD FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE NET**

Or in other words performing a bit of thread-o-mancy :)

Yep, just got into M43 in the last few weeks and so far its great - close to selling the 5DIII but can't quite because of the 135L

I started with an OM1, added an OM10 before going digital with a C1000-L (0.85MP!), Camedia C3000 and underwater housing and my first M4/3 body, the Pen EPM-1. I still own all of these and all the digital cameras are in working order. I especially enjoy using my OM lenses on the Pen with the adapter. As linked in a previous post a new E-PM1 body for £99 is a bargain, add a kit lens and it is still cheaper than the Olympus XZ 1 or XZ 2.

yes new to the site with my EPL5.

In another thread, I am having difficulty with focus on the bright moon. Have a 40-150mm lens, and am looking to buy the 300mm lens. Not yet allowed in to sales thread!!... MJ

Just FOUND this OLYMPUS users thread ! I am very lucky having been GIVEN all my OLYMPUS gear --- I WON a MJU 760 digital with which I was presented by David Bailey and gave it to Daughter , then got a SP-570UZ for £20 to Club Funds from deceased Camera Club member and gave it to Son -- then took over both as they never use 'Real Cameras' any more' -- then was given a 2003 Digital E-1 body by a Camera Club friend to go with a 2005 E-500 system with 3 lenses from an Old Gent - then got an OM-1, OM10 , XA2, XA and yesterday a OM-2 Spot Program with lenses ----
