Any opinions on the Lowepro reporter 300?

I'm looking for a bag - i'd like it to be on side - satchel style for quick grab.

Its would be mostly used for storing the camera on the walk abouts etc not too keen on the back pack style bag which i think would be too big - the sling style is something that i did consider too

I've seen the Lowepro Stealth Reporter 300 which quite tickles my fancy.

anyone got this and any thoughts?

alternatively any other suggestions?

I've got the 400, great well built bag, the only thing I wasn't so keen on is the top zip entry is a bit snug to get a 1 series with 24-105 out of which got on my nerves a bit. Other than that great, loads of room, pockets for bits etc.

The stealth reporter series are decent bags and do the business. However, the top zip quick access is too narrow for larger cameras such as my D300.

I use a Lowepro Nova 3, and find it to be an excellent go anywhere bag. It's quite small on the outside, but massive on the inside, I can get a D300, Nikon 18-200, Nikon 35, Sigma 10-20 and an SB900 as well as the usual bits and pieces (cards, batteries, lens cloth etc.)

I use the Nova far more often than my Kata 3N1 33 (which is in itself a very good bag) and actually prefer the style to a rucksack.

Sorry, I'd like to add that the Nova 3 (discontinued) is probably equivalent in size to a Stealth Reporter 100.

I agree with this, I've got the 300 AW version and the zipped top is OK for extracting a lens out of but as for a D300s/D700 - no chance without a lot of awkward manoevring.
