Any shops that stock Fuji Xf1 Power Adapter?

Just wondering, does anybody know any shops that may stock the Fujifilm CP-50 / AC-5VX Replacement AC Power Adapter ? I want to run my Fuji XF1 from a mains power supply from a power cable, I have seen loads on ebay and on the net. Just I am not too sure if they are genuine, besides I would prefer to pick it up from a shop. I have searched on places like Currys, Maplins, John Lewis, and Argos etc. Whats putting me buying off buying from ebay, is they all show the same stock photo in the description.

Try WEX, Park Cameras, etc. for mail order from a bricks'n'mortar retailer.

Google throws up lots of non-Ebay/Amazon options. But you're unlikely to walk into every-town store and pick up something like this. They're not going to be best sellers.

Thanks for that Alastair, just had a look at both WEX and Park Cameras, and they do both have the Fuji CP-50 Coupler on it's own, but it says it must be used with the AC-5VX power supply. As the coupler does not come with a power supply, my Fuji XF1 only came with a power charging wall plug that the battery sits in, and not the type with a cable and charger at the end.

I also think it's the same battery size as the Fuji X10 / X20 so maybe that's why I thought it may be a little more popular. I have messaged both WEX and Park Cameras, to see if they do also have a power lead for it.

I am still looking, as I said seen loads on ebay just all the listing have the same stock photo, and use the same description, yet they are supposed to be from different sellers. Slightly off putting, as not sure if it will be a good safe purchase!

John, I can confirm that the baby X Fujis do all share the same battery. Never seen a power adaptor for them though. Looking in the manual, you'd need an AC-5VX power adapter and a CP-50 coupler.

Thanks for that confirmation Nod, Just found something that looks interesting link below. I have got a free day today, so I will take the camera into town and see if I can get a compatible power cable for it.

WEX stocks both required items, because there are different combinations for different (non-X) Fuji cameras you need to mix and match the two bits you need.

You are correct, I just got a reply from WEX and as you say they do have both the Coupler and the Power Cable. Total cost for both items £44 little skint this week, so I won't be able to get this till next week.

was going to suggest WEX they've got me out of a couple of holes recently, and you know it's kosher kit.

If I did more indoor photography, I would be very tempted by a kosher set for the XF/X and the X-Pro/HS30/XT (if/when!) but a collection of batteries will do! Then again, there's no reason a cable couldn't be made up to allow an external battery pack to be used with them all so in extremis a set of AAs could be pressed into service...

Going back many years ago, I had a power hungry Powershot it used to go through batteries so fast, I ended up rigging a portable power unit up. I had an old power inverter, and I connected it to an old motorbike battery. I simply converted the motorbike 12V into AC power, and plugged the camera mains power supply into the inverter. It was brilliant, I had loads of power on tap, and it lasted for bloomin ages. I rigged up a backpack containing the small motorbike battery, and the inverter, and I simply ran the mains power cable through a hole I made in the bag. The cable ran through the bag, over my shoulder and into the camera. It was heavy and cumbersome, but it worked. There is no way I could walk about town rigged up like that now though! ( not that I would want to lol )
