I'm phographing a friends daughter who is 6 years old in the local park on Sunday weather permitting and wondered if any of you guys had much experience photographing redheads and could advise me which colour clothing works well. I'm looking online as I type this but just thought I'd ask. I'm thinking stay away from reds, pinks and possibly orange and leaning toward navy blue or greys.

Regards

Scott

Depends on the red, whether it tends towards copper or ginger. Generally photos of redheads look best to me when the intensity of the other colours in the frame matches the intensity of the hair colour - a real strong copper-red works well with slightly dark intense blues and greens, ginger works with slightly muted shades.

But the thing about the web is that there's bound to be a page for anything.. http://howtobearedhead.com/

It ended up being cancelled as the girl was unwell. I'll definitely use the wheel though as it's something I'm learning to follow in college.
