Had another fiddle with the X1 over the weekend. Such a beautiful thing, lovely design and concept. Such a shame it doesn't work very well - AF is snail like, screen average at best, no viewfinder...
DP Review have just put a up a hands-on preview of the new Fuji X100 http://www.dpreview.com/previews/fujifilmx100/ I so wish it had interchangeable lenses, but that aside, it looks fab and appears to deliver everywhere the Leica doesn't.

I have to say Richard that the Fuji does look like it's going to be the poodles privates - it should have a massive appeal to anyone seeking a digital rangefinder camera.

Gorgeous camera. Leicas are by far the most comfortable cameras to hold, there's something just right about those rounded sides.

That Fujifilm camera looks absolutely gorgeous. Love the sound of the hybrid optical / electronic viewfinder. If it takes pics as good as it looks I could be half tempted.

Been very busy at work, only been at home during the dark, but I got out this afternoon and the sun came out. I only had a few minutes between meetings and took the opportunity to get the X1 out.
Heres a few...... Click on the image for full size, all these are jpegs straight from the camera with standard settings except sharpness and saturation which was +1. Must get my head round processing raw, the files are so much better.

I have a few days off now so will try to grab some more. Not in Nepal though, unfortunately!
