Has anyone bought from buyacamera.co.uk. I want to buy a compact for my daughter for christmas and they have some good prices . Reading reviews although they say its uk stock some people seem to get imports and others have arrived with unsealed boxes etc.

Areb they ok or should i go elsewhere?
 
They look reasonably legit to me, though I should stress that I have no personal knowledge of the company.

They trade on Amazon marketplace and seem to have a decent history and reputation: [click].
They have nearly 250 reviews at Review Centre: [click].

They claim on their web site to have won a Good Service Award from What Digital Camera magazine, but I haven't been able to find other evidence of that one way or the other. It wasn't in 2011 [click] or 2010 [click] or 2009 [click], but I can't find any details of earlier winners. So you might argue that, even if they did win in 2008 or earlier, they're being a bit cheeky still displaying it on their web site, but it's not necessarily a hanging offence.

I bought my first digital camera from them years ago, it was only a Canon Powershot but I had no issues and would buy from them again if the price was right.
 
I bought a HS10 from there last year. Great price and fast delivery.
