anyone done this course

Not done the course but I have had a look and apart from a list of subjects I don't see much information.

Personally before shelling out £500 I'd want to see a sample of a "lesson" and an "assignment" to see what the content is. I'll be honest I have the impression that they get their money and you get the pass provided you submit all the assignments. When I read that the course 24 lasts weeks and is supposed to prepare people for professional photography but you can start with no knowledge of photography it doesn't inspire confidence that the course has much value.

What do you want to get out of doing a course like this? As far as I can see there is no recognised certification at the end of this but if you aren't bothered about a qualification and just want the knowledge it may be OK, although I suspect you could do better through another route.

thank you Simon.. coming from you that s great i wanted something to do while hubby was away on tour.. wasn't wanting to turn into a professional flipping heck we all know that will neer happen.

thank you mate for saving me £500.. you are great

Never say never!! I said I never do Weddings!!

For something to do, have you thought about a C&G course, OU course or even an A-Level / GSCE all of these give you a recognised qualification and have a defined syllabus and known standards, although you may have to wait a bit to start some given these are generally run by educational establishments. Plus from what I've seen the costs of all the these are under £200 :)

An alternative is to set yourself a project, if it's about feedback and learning you could always post here asking for constructive crit. You could even set up a couple of learn together meets in your local area linked with your project, the key to a good one is helping each other out and then sharing the images on a laptop later.
