Hi guys,
I've bought a secondhand lens but it has some fungus on the glass.

I've tried to remove the screws but failed on the last one & it's chewed. :-(

So thought I'd let someone else have a go since I can't seem to find a small enough screw removal tool.

Thanks in advance
Rob

Thanks Dave1 I'll take a look

No problem, he did a full CLA on a lens for me towards the end of last year (including some fungus) and including postage there and back it was just over a week in total.

Can I ask how much he charged?

I did email him but he said it varies, which is fair enough but wanted a ballpark figure just to insure I'm not wasting his or my time.

It was a CLA on a Canon 50mm mk1, it was around £40.

Edit
found the invoice:
COSTS:£39 + £4.75 P&P Recorded delivery 1st Class:
General Service: disassemble all parts and steep in Anti Fungal solution for 24 hours, this kills all active spores within the lens.
Clean all glass elements internal clean all parts, calibrate aperture system, reassemble and fully test.
