Anyone got a Pentax Q?

No
I had a brief play with one in Jessops the other day and I was drawn to it. What is it like?

I do have a load of canon fd lenses too, but I doubt the 5x crop factor would suit them. What to do!?

bump, just in case anyone has one and would like to share their thoughts.

If you insist. It's a compact, with interchangeable lenses. Another of Pentax's pointless aberrations.

We can only hope that Ricoh gets a firm grip on the business soon. I think they will :)

Got one Saturday morning after seeing prices drop during November specials here in Australia (they're back up now)
Still familiarising myself with it.
First impressions;

TINY!! I mean really tiny!
Solid.. Build like a tank. That popup flash is not as flimsy as one might expect either.
Fits in a shirt pocket, trouser pocket, shorts pocket, jacket pocket (with 01 standard prime)
Photos so far;
I'd seen a lot of samples online so they are as I was expecting. Good.
Low light performance is so far very good, but I need more time with this.

Video mode;
Full HD (1080p) sucks big time, terrible quality - my Galaxy S2 is far superior. But HD (720p) is fine.
Again, need more time because full manual control is available for video mode, so there might be ways to improve FullHD quality. (Not that I bought the Q for video)

Handling;
Not as fiddly as one my imagine with such a tint camera. Quite sensible layout.

That's it for now :)

I had one for a while and, if you consider it as a decent quality compact rather than a replacement for your CSC or DSLR, it is excellent. Image quality, considering it has a tiny sensor, is very good.

Where it excels is as a carry anywhere, fun camera. I loved using it with the prime lens (8.5mm) although I had the zoom too and some of the art filters were great. It was good to take the the camera out with just the prime lens and do some creative stuff.

Dependant on how the prices go I might even consider buying another one as I do miss it sometimes

I forgot all about this thread. Just checked my threads bit and there it was. I had quite a few thoughts on weather to get one. Money ended up being spent on other things recently, an 85mm f1.8. I do still like the idea of a q though. I really like the idea of a fun camera still and I reckon it certainly fits the bill.
