Anyone got experience of both the D and G versions of the Nikon 85 1.4?

If so, I'd love to hear opinions on the differences between the two. I love my D but since upgrading the 35 from the f/2 to 1.4, an 85 upgrade keeps playing on my mind.

Just wondering whether it's really worth the extra cost?

the G claims to be faster AF but I think the D is similar speed but just noisy because of the camera motor .....

Image quality wise is pretty close but i prefer the G if i going to buy unless i can buy the D in good condition used.

yep - I used to use the D and upgraded to the G. Biggest single difference is in how well it deals with contrasty and strongly backlit situations.
