I'm particularly interested in them with the existing 300 2.8 and 70-200 L IS 2.8 mk 2?

Someone has tested it on there with the 70-200 mk 2 and didn't see a marked difference over the mm ii converter.
 
Well, as usual there are differing opinions, will be interesting to see how it all shakes down. Bit pricy over here, though, expect they'll drop to around £425 after a bit, but £850 for a couple of teleconverters is still a bit rich, I think.

Kerso is already doing the 2x mk3 for £399 George - I expect they will fall even more after a while.

Yes, Roy, my arithmetic was dodgy there...they are USD500 at the moment, that probably won't change a lot if history is anything to go by..so say £333 in the US plus sales tax etc, yea a price of under £400 is quite feasable.

Even cheap did I hear you say???...:shrug::lol::lol:
 
I paid £388 delivered from DigitalRev on here.

Not done a lot with it yet although I used it with my TSE 24L Mk2 to do these.

No sorry.

Other than those, In the short time I have had it I have only had a play around the house with it on my 70-200 f2.8 IS Mk2 and have been quite impressed by itm both focusing speed and IQ.

I do not have a mkII 2x extender although I do have a mk2 1.4x extender.


Dissapointing thing for me is the MkII 1.4x doesn't fit into the MkIII 2x as it used to in the MKII 2x.

Thanks anyway,Ed, I'll be using mine with the 1Ds 3 and 7D with the 70-200 mk 2 so it'll be interesting to see the IQ.

Yep, I heard that. If the 2x mk3 was a step up from the mk2 I was hoping to stack with a 1.4 Mk2. I suppose it would stack with a 12mm extension tube between them though - what do you think?

That works, but the focusing is very lethargic.

Maybe the Mk3 1.4x will fit the Mk3 2x without the extension tube?
 
Well I'll know by next w/e, both mine about to arrive.. will report..
