Anyone have any DX + Nikon 14-24mm F2.8G images to share

All I say is watch that front element, it's massive and doesn't take a filter.

Just searched for a '14-24' group on fickr, and then searched within for D2x (but any old crop body would do) and came up with this...

(this is not my image BTW - just an example from that group)....

have you considered the 17-55mm f/2.8 as an equivalent?

The 14-24 is a huge lens that weighs 1Kg(!) designed for FX cameras.

At a bit under half the weight (and price) Nikon make a 10-24 for DX sensors with an equivalent of @15-36mm that is a lot lighter and (perhaps) a far 'better' walkabout lens?
 
The 16-85's a good walk about lens imho

Having just a wide angle zoom I'd find it pretty limiting
