Yes
Went to the second annual Photography Expo here in Quebec City. Pretty decent. I'm in the market for a tripod so I wanted to see if anything new was coming out. Not much, but I did check out Giotto's aluminium 3361B tripod. Decent gear, but I'm wondering if anyone has bought this and if their experience with it is good. Legwise the unit is more than sturdy - and the price is awesome: around 180.00 Canadian. Weight's around 3 1/2 pounds but it feels noticeably less heavy than other metal tripods. The only thing I'm uncertain about at this point is the point where the head meets the plate - seems a little less "solid" point than other tripods. Other than that, wow. Wallet was saying "Go ahead - do it!" while my brain put on the brakes and wanted to see the reviews first.

Anyone had a chance to play around with one yet?

Giotto's seem to be on the up here in the UK - seem to offer great quality at good prices. Also been getting some good write ups in the UK photo press.

Very happy with mine other than the weight which can get to be a bit of a drag after a few hours but for the money it's good.
