North England Anyone here from East Lancashire?

I have to go to Haworth next Tuesday and be there for 8AM. AA Route Finder says the best route is M65 then past The Atom and Watersheddles. I know this road and it can be bleak. So my question is...what's the road like at present? is it passable, or only with care?
The alternative is via Keighley which will add an extra 30 mins on the journey.
Weather can change before then, but I'd like to have an idea what I'm facing.

Tony, it's the res. on the right hand side, after what was the old Herders Inn & before getting to Scar Top.
