Anyone know how much to repair a Faulty Nikon sensor?

I have a Nikon D700 with a faulty sensor, it displays a vertical line down every image. Does any one know how much roughly it would cost to have it replaced?
I suppose what I really mean is, would it be feasable to have it repaired or sell it as spares/parts only? it has less than 20k on the clock and is well out of warranty.

have you tried another sd card...could be that, what makes you think that its the sensor..mark

WOW!! $800 for the part and $150 to install, on top of that would be the postal charges to the USA and maybe even some customs charges. Unfortunately its looking like its a scrap camera. I am not paying $1000 to repair a D700 when a brand new D750 is £1168 from Panamoz.
