Anyone know what a cookie: cresist is?

I'm working my way through some tcpdump traces and I can't find any useful info on Google about what a cresist is within a cookie.

Any cookie experts out there?

As far as I recall cresist is a function in C++

Do you know what it does? Is it just another session ID of some sort?

The only thing I recall about it is it was something to do with a stat generating tool created for World of Warcraft users.
