Anyone Shooting Football With A 60D

I am looking to upgrade from the 40D but am torn between the 60D & 7D mainly for the type of results I will get when shooting sport and specifically football,I used a friends 7D yesterday and was mightily impressed but not sure that i can justify the £300+ price difference,anybody use a 60D for football and what are your impressions

I've got a 60D and I've used it a few times to shoot sports and managed to get some good shots too, mainly of under 11s, 13s, 15s and a bit of sunday league. The 60D has all cross point focussing which makes it pretty accurate, but it doesn't get the keeper rate you'd get with the 7D. I use a 5D3 now and get loads of great shots as the AF is so good, but the 7D AF system is excellent for sports. I mainly use the 60D now for everyday shots and the 5D3 for the important stuff but I would like a 7D again especially for the football shooting where you get the benefit of the crop reach effect.
