Yes
Doing a BBQ on Sunday, and planning on doing a large slow cooked pork shoulder, chicken wings and slow cooked beef brisket. Normally shop at waitrose (preferably) or tesco (convenience) but neither had any 2kg plus shoulders and the only chicken wings tesco had were value ones. Brisket was a bit small too. Do any of the above supermarkets sell what I am after?

Cant you go get what you want from a butcher?

You must be joking?

Farmaers' markets are the places for meat.

Morrisons. By far the best choice and quality of meat than any of the others. Most have a Butchers in too if you go at a reasonable time.

They do some great BBQ packs with all sorts of burgers and bangers in too.

I get most of our BBQ grub from Bookers - plus some from Sainsburys.

I've never considered slow-cooked anything with a BBQ. Super-quick-nuked, and if you don't like it, have another beer.

This ^ if you can't see what you want ask at the butchers counter. Their meat is far superior to Tesco.

:plusone: for Morrisons, best ribeye steak for miles, and the chinese pork ribs are to die for!

How do you do a slow cook on a BBQ ?

we always thin slice potatoes and onion lots of butter seasoned with oregano, or hot and spicy and double wrap them on the barby they go crispy well some do yummy

Thats the last time I eat one of YOUR sarnies! :puke:

If you are or know a member and have one near by, we always find Costco's meat good quality.

I've always found Tescos to be the poorest quality of supermarket meat. Personal experience says that Sainsburys is good and also Asda although a lot depends on which branch and how good their butcher is.

Actually Costco make Tesco meat look good , around my way only Sainsburys or Morrisons have decent meat, with Morrisons being best. Morrisons is also the only one with full time trained butchers in who will cut to order.

Personally we either use the local farm shop our waitrose for our meat, farm shop always does a good deal, I have only ever had 1 not so good piece of meat and when I mentioned it the meat I was buying had the price if that meat knocked off. We also buy some of the waitrose essential range of meats, which tbh are ok, nothing special but ok.
