The more I look at tripod heads, the more confused I become. Not having Wimberley funds, I'm finding it hard to decide of which to buy.

The Manfrotto 393 was top of my list but then someone mentioned the Jobu Junior which is not a load more expensive. Has anyone ever used one or got any opinions on the them?

I did tell you that in my opinion, having used the Kirk King Cobra, Jobu BWG-LW2, Benro and Sidekick ... the Jobu is the way to go.

It allows you greater elevation (stuff almost directly overhead), is light, and whilst not as rigid as the Kirk, is fine in use ... the slight trade off against the weight saving make it my choice.

How the Junior is compared to the BWG-LW2 I do not know, but it should be fine for your 300mm f4.
