Just wondering if anyone has had their mitts on this new offering from Nikon yet? Would love to know how it compares to the Sigma 1.4 ?
 
Same here, desperate to read a review or here someones thoughts who have tried it.
 
FWIW; Ken (Marmite) Rockwell :eek:, has a review of this new lens on his site....
 
Saw Ken's review but we all take that with a pinch of salt. Waiting to see how it compares to the sigma 1.4.
 
Looks a pretty mediocre lens from what i have seen so far in test reviews. The Sigma looks a steal compared to it.
 
Certainly don't think it has that Sigma art magic which makes the images stand out. Only thing that worries me is the inconsistency of some of the Sigmas.
 
That's one of the reasons why it is relatively cheap, but buy it from a reputable place or get the USB dongle and you will be fine.
