Anyone use BT Infinity ?

Apparantly we are getting BT Infinity in our village, which suprises me as we live in a tiny village.

Anyway anyone got it, is it worth the money as £28 a month seems a bit steep (we pay around £14 for our unlimited broadband)

I have it, 32mb its very good, couldn't really fault it, BT restrict speeds during peak hours for torrent programs (not that I would use those) but I could easily download 8gb overnight with no issues.

So for argument sake of course if anyone is using torrent programmes, are they hot on the case for sending warnings out ?


How do they know you are using torrent programme to restrict you ?

The weird thing is torrent programmes are not illegal, they can be a great way to transfer large legal programmes or files its just people use them for dodgy stuff to

A guy I used to houseshare with a long long time ago was a serious IT geek for the BBC and I've always remembered him mentioning anonymizer (http://www.anonymizer.com) if you want some protection.

No big deal but the reason his comments stood out was because even anonymizer could track back to you but he had the theory of logging into anonymizer through anonymizer and therefore creating an infinite loop and making you 100% untraceable.

Not sure if it works but an interesting theory non the less.
