Thinking of getting this prime for my D300s, I mainly like to shoot wide open, and dont find the 35mm 1.8 wide enough. I will also use it on the D700/D3/D4 etc when I upgrade, which essentially means the lens is both a 24mm and a 35mm (36mm actually) depending what frame I use it on! Almost like buy one get one free haha!
I wondered if anyone has any experience of it shooting wide open, and is the wide aparture really needed over F2.8 at that wide focal length ?
Wierdly my 18-70mm gets used most frequently at 24mm which is whats spurring the idea!
