Anyone using a Samsung camera, or have made a warranty claim with them?

Would be interested to hear the experiences of anyone that has tried a real Samsung camera (not a mobile phone one).

I've been in a battle with Samsung for some years now over a camera I pre-ordered of theirs (WB750), which produced very poor shots. Their customer service team spent 2.5 years fobbing me off with software and light excuses, and promising callbacks, before I turned up the heat, and they finally agreed to look at the camera in-person... and found a manufacturing fault.

They're refused to do anything about the length of time to resolve, and I'm wondering if this is the standard Samsung service level. I certainly feel their service has been a zero-care approach.

Anyone else use one, or have reason to make a warranty claim? Would be good to know if this is normal, or if I've been unlucky, both in having the fault, but also in the reaction of complaint staff in not considering 2.5 years to be excessive.
