Anyone using Metz MecaBlitz?

So I usually Use my 430 ex ii for weddings etc, but I got a great deal on Mecablitz 45 CL-1. Really enjoying it even though its HUGE!

Anyone else using one of the big hammer head series also?
What are your thoughts on it compared to the canon/nikon models?

I've got the Metz 45CT4, very powerful and lightweight flash.

I do have a 300TTL that is a match for my T90 and is incredibly versatile with that camera, but the Metz is much more powerful.

Love my Mecablitz 45 CL-4 to bits. I use it in auto mode and find it remarkably accurate. Usually bouncing around but sometimes shooting through an umbrella when I switch it to manual mode.

I tend to have it on a stand (£3.00 standard lamp base from Ikea) and trigger it with a Cactus thingy. But it works great alongside the camera too.

There isn't TTL available for my camera so I can't comment on how it would compare with Canon & Nikon flashes but I find it generally more reliable than the dedicated Sigma EF-500 Super I also use.
