Im considering getting either a Canon EF-s 24mm stm lens or a wide angle zoom, probably Sigma 10-20. Is anyone using the 24mm stm and if so, what results are you getting?
I'll be using it mainly for Landscape shots and am not sure which lens will serve me best - I know the flexibility of the zoom maybe an advantage but as its not my main interest, I just wondered if the cheaper prime lens would suffice.

Hi,

I'm selling mine. Not because I don't like it, on the contrary!, I love it, but I'm selling some gear in order to buy another body.

I use it on my 40D, for which it was calibrated by Canon, and the image quality wide open is fabulous for a lens of this price, corner to corner. Stopped down it gets (a bit) better. The same as my 40mm on the 5D.

I used it (very rarely but) for all kinds of photography, being landscape one of them and it's a great little joy.
AF is a bit on the slow side, though.
It can focus really close, too.

One of the things I like these pancakes is that with a smaller body you can carry them all day, everyday, always in your bag, and you can be assured that, when you need to take a quality photo in terms of image quality, they'll never let you down. ;)

Cheers,
Luis
