Anyone using the Nikon 24-120 f4?

Have you found this lens to be good? I'm using a D300 with a 17-55 f2.8 lens, then jump to a 105 f2.8 or an 80-400 (very heavy) and I am thinking a walking about lens could be a nice addition to my kit.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

why not try the 18-200vr brilliant lens and not to heavy for walkabout
