Anyone with a Canon 300mm 2.8 IS...

...please could you measure the Lens case for me and also if possible weigh the lens and case together.

I'm selling one in the classifieds and need to know these details so I can get a price on the courier and I'm stuck at work.

The case is 2.85Kg and the lens is 2.9Kg.

You'll need to allow for a box/wrapping

I haven't tried this myself but I believe that if you stop it down to f/4 before packing it up you'll save about 1.5kg

The Canon EF 300 f/2.8 IS L Lens case (above top) measures about 14.5"W x 9.5"H x 10"D

You'll need to check they'll insure electrical goods, have a feeling they aren't with RMSD.
