Yes
Working in Glasgow today and if I'm lucky I might be able to get finished early afternoon. Is there anywhere worth visiting to wander about and take a few snaps? Happy to travel upto an hour. Don't have my tripod though so dusky landscapes may be a bit difficult.

Thanks in advance.

The new transport museum or the Kelvingrove art gallery is worth a visit for some photos. If you jumped on a train you can be in Balloch in under an hour at Loch Lomond. One of the hop on hop off sightseeing buses is good for getting about Glasgow and seeing new things.

I'm guessing that you're limited to public transport?

In the city you could head to George Square, Royal Exchange Square, or some of the surrounding streets which are all okay for a few photographs, especially as there people out and about today due to the unusually sunny weather.

The Riverside Museum is nice (formerly known as the Transport Museum before it moved) and so is Kelvingrove Park and Kelvingrove Museum.

With a car I'd be heading to somewhere like Loch Lomond or the Kilpatrick Hills.
