Yes
Right its ANZAC Day on Saturday and there are parades and memorial services all over the city and in Kings Park her in Perth.

I wanted to go out to try my hand at candids. I have never done can dids before and have a lens dilema!

AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 VR - Good range to not be in peopels faces too much.
AF-S 50mm f/1.4 - Better DOF options and more light.

Opinions?

I'd go with the 70-200 to be honest! Although it's bigger, for things like memorial services you really don't want to be getting in peoples faces. The 50mm 1.4, although it'll let in more light, the DOF will be razor thin, and you'll probably have to stop it down to get both eyes in focus etc etc, so I'd stick to the 70-200!

Good point about the DOF being too shallow, I'd probably be stopping down to 2.2 or 2.8 at least. Doubt I'll need the extra light as its still awesome weather!
