Ordered an 92 page hardback book costing £84 from apple for my sisters wedding pics and it came today and was perfect apart from one piece of text, which was overlapped.

Checked it in iphoto and the problem is with the text formatting I used. Phoned apple and told them, they checked and said the error is on the file uploaded, so they won't be able to reprint. But are giving a full refund anyway. Even though the error is mine.

Can you get better customer service than that?

Excellent stuff. Had a good experience off Chapel Down Wines today - wonderful English wine (sold in Waitrose and Majestic). Getting service like that is brilliant and keeps me as a loyal customer.

The wife dropped her iPad recently, well it slid off the bed. It had a crack right across the middle.

She took it into the Apple Store in the Arndale centre and they swapped it out for free!

There is a good reason why people are willing to pay that little bit extra for an Apple product

Premium product - premium customer service. When its all totaled up, hardly seem overpriced...

this should help explain their basis behind the premium idea

I shall make one comment - and only one. Can I refer the OP to a post made almost exactly a year ago where it didn't rock quite as much... http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=274843

(ignore all the mac/PC drivel, posts #1 and #80 are the important ones) ;) :D

and what does this have to do with customer service?

Are you suggesting other companies would provide a free fix to a product that was out of warranty?

I know you only made your 1 comment so I don't expect an answer, it's more a rhetorical question

Because if they had repaired it, I'd have fully expected a post on here from you about "great customer service from Apple". Ergo it is a customer service issue.

It has been known..... but that wasn't the point of my post and you know it - and if you don't it's not as funny if you have to explain it

Doh.. You got me there... :D

I know your in mourning, but come on Joe... surely enough time has passed that you can now smile from time to time...

I can smile :D, especially as I don't really get what you are trying to say.
