Apple Day 3

I put a cut up apple outside a couple of days ago then every now and again I go to see what its attracted. First we had the Plant bug and today we have, what must be said a pretty ugly fly. I will try to keep posting things as they appear. This is a exciting as it gets at this time of year............

This was with my canon 100mm and a canon 25mm extension tube.

I am tempted to get one, Im shooting with a 50d at the moment, the 25mm extension tubes make a big diff?

the extension does make quite a bit of difference and still keeps the sharpness

I have got a 1.4x extender but I think it knocks of the sharpness slightly I need to do a few more tests yet though.
