[S1]Sobs uncontrolably as someone has mentioned the "I" word[/S1]:'(

Its the other letters joined on to it that spell the word of the devil.

Thats it I am going to look and see if there is a filter available to put * instead of that product

Thanks for the link now Iam as confused as ever looks Like its one of those things you either love it or hate it theres no inbetween:thinking:
Cheers Bob:help:

Hi Bob I dont have anything against them its just because I had loads of people last week telling me to get one.

Yes the haters are those that don't have them. Try and find a person who has one and hates it

I will stick to hating them, a chinese company has brought out a cheaper version called the IPed

64Gb 3G one here, and love it. Use it for everything, from surfing form sofa, email, controlling home automation, TV, DVD, etc, reading newspapers, ebooks are great, used it on a flight to watch a film, can take credit card payments, wind away a few hours with the endless games, and music.

Guess it all comes down to what you want from it.

I think 16gb is too small. 32 should b fine.

If you are intent on filling up a 16Gb, you will. I have a 16Gb and don't use it as a large mp3 player and I am more than happy to spend a few seconds each time I want to change some video. I have a whole bunch of apps and the take a few hundred Mb.

These are not laptops, more netbooks with a great potential for films, applications, showing pictures, games, browsing and email etc.

They turn on in a flash and a few seconds if you reboot. No AV/firewall to worry about and you'll know when a firmware update is available.

They are not cheap, more reassuringly expensive. My wife is the biggest technophobe going and manages to use it just fine.

The question is: Do I buy before the budget and the increase in VAT, or buy later and put it through the business and reclaim the VAT anyway?

Or both :D

I wasnt sure about them, as I have an IPod & MacBook but having been away for a week with people using them suddenly feel the need for one as it fills a big gap between the tiny IPod & my MacBook for my travelling life style. Just need to get the wife agreeable this afternoon.

Do it, you will never look back. Using mine now to post this, just because I can and cant be bothered to boot the PC.

If you have an iPhone, you will immediately be at ease because it is pretty much a big iPhone. Many people have discarded it because it simply is just a 'Big iPhone' but there is so much more to offer as a device just by being bigger.

Firstly, the bigger screen makes every single app available just that much nicer to look at and better to use, such as viewing the paper and reading books feels a lot more like the real thing. As well as this, games have been taken to a whole new level with the touch interaction such as Harbour Master and Flight Control.

Secondly, the keyboard is much more like a full size keyboard when using in horizontal mode which is one of the major downsides of the iPhone keyboard, it still felt like texting with your thumb.

I bought one mainly because I wanted it to view photos easily and use it as a photo frame also........and it is a perfect device for this. Photos look awesome on the screen and is a good size.

I too own an iPhone and Macbook Pro, and it does defniitely fit nicely in between.........I got the 32GB 3G model and it's easy enough to carry around with you at all times in your bag and having your email pushed to you is ace. A big advantage over carrying your Macbook about, because with a laptop you still have to open it up, connect to Wifi/modem and fetch email etc

There are certainly things that can only be done on a proper laptop........photo editting being one of them, but there are definitely a lot of apps/features on the iPad that can't be achieved on a laptop and is perfect as a device that can do most day-to-day activities for when you're on the move + more!

Big drawback being no Flash and no Java.
