hi

am about to get a new imac to replace the pc, and having never used apple before i wanted to find out whether people think its worth getting the 'one to one' thing they offer at time of purchase?

was thinking i could always ask on here if i get stuck with anything :) , but wanted to see if people thought this was worth the money?

thanks!

Worth ever penny! I didn't buy mine from them originally, but they gave one to one and I'm now in my 3rd year.

You should be able to get a free 1-2-1 at any Apple store, although you'll need to book a time to save hanging around.

Free I'd say it would be a good use of 30 minutes to familiarise yourself with the differences between Windows and OSX. IF they are going to charge you, pick it up yourself from the website and internet.

If you're talking about the Applecare Extended (3 year) Warranty, I'd say get it. They are not cheap to repair if they go wrong!

Roc1 , without wanting to start and apple V PC battle whats your thinking behind the move to apple what does it give you that windows doesnt please? Not looking to criticise just want to try and understand why people make the change.

Do it the easy way and go into an Apple store and spend some time on the Kit. If you need help there is usually someone around to help you out. I recon 15 mins with one of the guys ( girls) there will sort most things out before you even buy.

Probably the most difficult thing will be setting up your email, took me 90 seconds.
