Looking for a new ballhead and I do a lot of panoramic photography so I was interested in the integrated panning base in the p0
I know you can get a standard ballhead and put on a panning base but the p0 is so small, compact and I like high quality engineering so always liked arca swiss and the p0 is something I could afford
I'd love to handle one before purchasing but the only place in the uk that stocks them is a long way away
so does anyone have any experience with it?
Couple of questions:
1) i'm guessing it's calibrated for small cameras and lenses, but is there adjustable tension to let you use larger cameras and lenses on there or would it be too small for that- largest load i'd put on would be a 1d and 70-200
2) i've heard there's some play in the mechanism, this is apparently needed for the planetary gears to work but just wondered if it had put anyone off or made it feel like a low quality product
i'd be teaming it up with some cheapish carbon fibre travelers legs, probably from benro
