Arghhhhhhhh....Bags that slide off the shoulder.

I've a nice bag, well I think so anyway, a Kata DC445.

The padded sleeve that is supposed to stop it sliding off ones shoulder is absolutly useless.:bang:

Don't the blasted designers ever try these things out.

I've resorted to making a sleeve of the grippy rubber mesh stuff meant to stop things sliding off of tea trays and the like.

Anyone any better ideas.

my crumpler bag has the exact same problem, (i dont have round shoulders) it has a shoulder pad but i often find it finds its way down my arm... managed to get over it though, its a nice bag afterall and only really happens when its fairly empty.

Same problem here. These are the grippiest shoulder pads I know of - Billingham http://www.billingham.co.uk/acatalog/Shoulder_Pads.html Their bags are very nice too The newer shoulder pads also on their site are slighty more padded for comfort but not quite as grippy but still pretty good.

I put the strap over the shoulder away from the bag so it crosses my chest. It's he only sure fire way to avoid slippage and it doesn't make you feel so lopsided if the bag is heavy..

I'd tend to agree, and this will tend to help with the weight.

You might keep a lookout a Lowepro deluxe shoulder strap -- plenty of padding, angled, and quite good grip. Looks like they might have discontinued them, but I've seen them recently in shops (LCE/ Jacobs/ Jesspos?).

Never really got on with Slingshot style bags, but some clearly love them.

I have a Thinktank Retrospective 20 and it has a really good grip; does not budge at all whether carried on the shoulder or over the body.

Seems to me that Dave in Wales is correct and too many manufacturers don't put enough attention into this area so well done Thinktank!

Problem solved. Bit of this resulting in this. Bag wont move now but you may need new clothes

I have a lowepro pro runner 200 I think it is and usually resort to using both straps...like a rucksack ....the slingshots do look a good shout though.

My Bllingham bag did this and it was very annoying, so I bought the shoulder pad and it's so much better.
