Well i don't usually look at the camera equipment in Argos but i was out today and thought I'd have a flick through one of the catalogs and come across a canon 90-300mm EF lens it looks ok and is of a similar price to sigma lenses and i was wondering which one would you choose i will be using it for wildlife photography and stay around the 300mm area so how would this manage compared to the similar priced sigma / tamaron.

Any way here is a link to the lens:http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produ...hotography>C$cip=1500011823.Camera+lenses.htm

For any answers thanks in advance!:)

Having owned both I can tell you that the Sigma 70-300 knocks spots off the Canon 90-300;)

If you did want this lens (the canon 90-300), it's only £129.87 or something similar in Currys. Although this lens has been discountinued in favour of a similar Tamron lens, you might find it in your local store (dont look on the website, because it will refer you to the partsmaster website and the lens prices there are extortionate...)
