I am relativly new myself however what I have picked up for long exposure of water is:

Anything between 2 to 4 seconds exposure is best.

Around f16 to have a good dof

you are best using ND filters to helpavoid very bright days.

Oh and try to get some forground interest. Ie somthing clearly in focus and close up.

Aria fall is in a very shaded place, very tight so you need a wide angle lens to get all of it in. I doubt you need filters there to be honest, you may well and do on other falls like Ashness bridge, where I used an ND8, and ND grad1 and 2 ISO 100, F16 http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=360113 http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=360222 .soz cant find my Aria Falls shots

as for settings ISO 100, F8/11, if its to fast add F stops ie F16/22 see if that slows it down and gets what you want try not to get it to milky try keep it looking like water, less is more if you get what I mean
