If this stings you then you hallucinate for a week and if not treated death is almost certain.

Remember with Scorpions the smaller the pinchers the deadlier the sting.

The chap who had this had been stung and he was so ill the hospital thought he would not make it, but he loves them, god knows why!!!!

Braver than I am! I have one of those Pandinus imperator (Emperor) which is fine to handle but I wouldn't go near a DWA species.

The spider is indeed a Red Knee (Brachypelma smithi) and it looks like it gets a lot of handling as it's abdomen is bald from kicking hairs in defence.
