That's because space is flat. Join the flat space society today!

They are like a stopped clock, get time correct twice a day, this isn't one of them. On the other hand, Tardis engine may be in Artemis.

Looks like lack of copy editing before publication..... ?

Eccles famously said, when asked for the time, that he had it written down on a piece of paper. It was correct twice a day.

They keep talking about seeing the far side of the moon for the first time. Duh, no! What about the Apollo astronauts that looped the moon many times? Hyperbole and laziness seems to be so normal now.

To be fair it will be the first time for them :)

Maybe the orange ladygarden wrote the story - it MUST be true...

Slight subject drift, but I heard someone (Police officer?) talking on the radio yesterday about the chap who ran the funeral parlor that didn't actually send bodies off for disposal. They were saying it was impossible to under-estimate the harm caused, rather than to over-estimate as it should have been. Bit of a hyperbole failure.

Saw this earlier today and thought it would be fun -

Wouldn't it be great when the Artemis II returns if everyone in the recovery crew dressed in Planet of the Apes costumes?

As I understand, we are all getting confused with the terms. It's not the furthest in terms of total distance but furthest point distance from the centre of earths humans have been

The BBC are convinced the crew have been around the far side! They are not due until Monday, what's wrong with the BBC?

Some of them went around when the far side was in shadow so they couldn't see anything. Others who stayed in the command module orbited at far lower altitudes (around 100 miles) than Artemis II and only caught a partial glimpse. With Artemis II the orbit was elliptical and closest approach was around 4000 miles, giving them a broader view and were able to see the whole of far side the moon for the first time.
