It's meant to be. That is the whole point.
I think Johnny pretty much made the same point to you in post 24. You have your opinion and that's fine. Personally, I think motorsport shots don't all need to be tack sharp and it is nice to experiment with slow shutter speeds. If you don't like it, fine. That's your choice. I do. Which is why I do it and will keep doing it. I am not really sure why you keep posting in this thread tbh if you don't like this type of shot other than to try and trigger people.

Not sure these qualify as arty enough. Just downloading these from facebook to post so haven't got the exif data but I think the rally one was done at 12mm (full frame) on my manual focus laowa.
Tend to avoid circuits these days. Having been in front of the fences in the past now being behind them I feel a bit caged in but maybe its just that i don't know the good spots anymore (where you can get decent backdrops or not have to worry about a fence shadow). The back of the Team Parker porsche is a shot I find really tough. You have to stand on a plank of wood no more than 30cm wide and it wobbles, the paning is at super speed and shutter speed as low as 1/30th so not a great hit rate but worth it when they come off...

Don't know why I never thought to post some of my low light attempts from a rally I attended back in November here. None of these are particularly amazing but it was fun to play around as the light faded away. The last one I got lucky and picked up someone elses flash.

Guess that was the 5th Nov at Oulton?
Welsh rally championship media day gave me an opportunity you don’t normally get with rally cars and that’s seeing them more than twice round a stage! The brace escort not sure if I like the front focused or the number focused better
Edit - I’m not sure the upload feature has done the 1/20s ones any favours there. I can assure you that the front number plate of the black escort is well focussed as is the number on the grey one.
