I've just enrolled at my local college on what they describe as "AS level digital photography". They were a bit vague about the syllabus but said there was information on the Internet. I've tried Google using a variety of search terms, but haven't found much detailed information.

Can anyone point me to a useful site?

Contact the college again and ask to speak to the tutor. They may not have finalised the syllabus yet but the tutor should know what s/he will be teaching. That assumes that they appointed a tutor yet :)

To be honest I'd just wait until the course begins then the tutor will give you an outline of what they want you to achieve. If you really must you could look here which is the examination board I use, this is very long winded though so be warned as it can make the course appear to be quite complex but your tutor should guide you through all the unnecessary dross. http://www.wjec.co.uk/uploads/publications/1633.pdf

Here's a link to an old AS exam paper but believe me it is a hell of a lot easier than you may initially think.

Many thanks "Stormcrow"! That's even a Welsh "board" paper that is the one that I will get!

Looks a bit "arty" to me (I'm actually a retired scientist  but I hope I'll get by.

We are very fond of Northumberland - stayed a lot in Haltwhistle.
