Hi, I'm currently doing a photography A-Level at college, and I have chosen the theme of movement.
Originally I was interested in the movement of light, but I now need to stem of from this into something else.
I have to do two more photo shoots in under two weeks.

Please help - i'm desperate.
Thanks :)

How about putting up what you've done so far and the ideas you've come up with?

(help with homework threads generally get a better response the more you demonstrate that you've already done something yourself)

I chose the same theme in when I was in College doing photography. People went with various different interpretations of the Theme and some of them were really good and well done.

As a couple of examples, one friend approached the College's drama department and had persuaded a few of the dancers to choreograph an acrobatic based dance where each dancer would hold or have tied to them long silky sashes to represent the movements in the dance.

Another one did alot of star trails and traffic trails.

Have you thought of taking a shot(s) of fast moving cars using panning. The blurred background and spinning wheels showing the movement but the car pin sharp.

There's even a helpful tutorial here.

Good luck,
Ken

We used to have things like. Glass (harder than it sounds) Reflections, Light and shade, Time (a fun one).

Whatever you pick, please, please, please, please, please: don't do a milky waterfall. :gag:

Thank you.

Errrmmmmmm. Just Errrrrrrrrrrrrrm.! :)

Hint: go back and read the opening post!

Got any dance students at your college?

Please help - i'm desperate.

Good way to meet girls as well :)

Yup - I read it. ;) :D It's not all about sex you dirty old man, it's also about developing relationships with girls who are used to performing, having makeup applied and often need portfolios. It's a good source of models.

(it's just that I got asked the same advice only last week from someone studying AS photography at a local college and they shot their dance students)

Edit - plus the iphone app doesn't lead to long answers - sorry.
