Ashley & Courtney - Bit Of Fun.

Was asked by a couple of friends if i would take a few snaps of
their daughters.

I really liked these but would appreciate thoughts & advice from
the more experienced amongst us (others are still welcome to share
their thoughts).

i like the first one sepia is nice and her fun pose/expression makes the photo. second one is dull, maybe it's the background i dunno - my two penneth

For the 2nd one,when you say 'dull' do you mean boring because of the
background for example or dull as in lifeless,flat etc :shrug:

Really like the first one the pose is good and the processing adds to the feel, only slight criticism would be the nearly closed eyes and the small aperture you chose a wider one may have helped pop her out of the backgroud even more.

For me the second is just to many blown highlights for me.

Love the first, really spontaneous

Agree about the second though, too black and white for me, and she just looks bored, unlike her sister

sorry, yeah, it looks lifeless because she's looking like she doesn't wanna be there and there's nothing interesting about the photo at all compared to the first shot.

Love the first, have to agree with the others on the second. I'd be interested to see a colour version of the second cropped in just around her head and "Royalty" on her top.
