Hi everyone, first post.

I've got a few dozen images on my hard drive that I want to burn to CD and get a store to print, for my mum. Now.......I've never did this before :shake: I normally just keep my images on disc.

I've cropped them all (Elements 8) to 7*5 ratio but I need a couple of beginners questions answered please -

Do I need to resize the images to a specific size before burning to CD?

Do I need to orientate the images all the same way?

Or as long as my differently sized images are the correct ratio the machine will automatically size them for 7*5 paper and rotate them accordingly?

Thanks people. Gavin.

That's pretty much it... as long as they are the right ratio so they scale correctly then you won't get any nasty cropping surprises. As to the rotation, doesn't matter as you can just rotate the print once in your hand ;)

save your legs and get the first 100 printed for free.

very fast turn around (less than 48 hrs both times i've used them) and very good quality.

Yeah I got on fine. Well, with my end anyway - bit disappointed with Asda right enough. Service and paper were fine, but the prints were a bit underexposed - not majorly though.

Cheers. I do really need to get myself sorted with prints from a regular place I trust. When I was on film I always bought Kodak and used their envelopes for prints by mail too - I always liked the results. So I'll probably look at them first - but I'll be looking at others too, and I'll keep that one in mind mate.

yes thanks for the Aldi link..didnt know they provided this service..I think the cycling gear they sell is really good value...and dont get me started on their ice cream and chocolate....
