I've just had an email giving me the tracking number for my new 70-200 MkII. I started out with a 70-200 f4 non IS last year and kept saving till I could afford the f2.8 IS MkI (with selling the f4).
The MkI was great, very sharp and I got some really great photos from it, but I kept on reading all your posts on how much better the MkII was so I aimed for that.
After selling my MkI and my (now unused) 550D, which was my first dslr, I ordered the MkII from www.panamoz.com on monday. I paid by bank transfer and received a 5% discount for doing so, and paid a total of £1361.34, which is a real bargain IMO. I can't wait to try it out on my 5D3 tomorrow, I just hope this great weather holds out so I can go shoot with it.
I can't think of what else to aim for now, maybe a 1.4x and 2x Canon converters to go with it, or maybe a 17-40 L if I get taking landscapes.
