Hi,
I have a sun sniper strap which screws into the tripod mount on the lens/camera body. Is there a plate out there that would allow me to have this attached and also a manfrotto quick release plate at the same time. I found one called an M plate but that is £60ish - more than the strap itself.

No help but if you want to change brand to BlackRapid they do clips for the PL200 plates from Manfrotto, I use them daily with ease.
 
As above the slide up strap clips into the bolt holding the tripod plate to the camera. I find it very handy to go from hand held to tripod with a simple clip.
 
Don't know if this will work for you, but I got a cheap extended length quick release plate with two tripod holes. The sling screws into the back one, and the extended length lets me shift the tripod mount a bit forward to better balance the weight of bigger lenses.
 
The M plate is probably the only neat option here without changing something. It is expensive though so maybe another option would be to use a Black Rapid RT1 replacement loop for the Manfrotto plate and switch to a strap with a Carabiner end rather than tripod screw plate.
 
Think you may be ok using the RT1 and clipping the sun sniper to it, fwiw there was one in classifieds earlier but think its sold now, had pics though if you want to guage the loop size.
 
Yep that's what I use, however the sun sniper has a threaded swivel that slides on the strap, it has no clip like the BR. :)
