Just seen this on the BGS site - http://www.geomag.bgs.ac.uk/data_service/space_weather/alerts/alert_2022-03-11.html - although there will be some moonlight it migght be a good one for some in the right place and with the right weather.

Online Aurora info suggests it was a good storm; hope others had clearer skies.

I debated going out to somewhere with dark skies but the moon was up and there was some cloud around so I guessed I wouldn't see much unless I went a lot further north which I couldn't be bothered with.

You've done well with that shot though

Thanks. Given the weather conditions I was fairly pleased with it.

I know a number of places a few miles away thant have better NW-N-NE views but as there was a lot of cloud with only a few breaks I decided to stay close. As it was, I was in and out about six times between 11pm and 1am.

I find this site https://aurora-alerts.uk/ good for info about a possible storm and for real time info during the storm.
